THE SLEEPING WOMAN
A splendid lunch if I may say so, all my own work. My version of Boeuf Bourguignon with suet dumplings; I could, in fact, say it was beef stew with dumplings but I did use a French red wine, a Burgundy and we washed it down with a particularly fine red Bordeaux, the name of which escapes me at the moment. To follow I did a creme brulee with raspberries. I'd seen the TV chefs creating all these mouthwatering dishes so I thought I'd have a go myself. It all worked out very well, we both enjoyed it. I couldn't eat like that every day though, we wouldn't want to. It's alright once in a while; say once a month or something... |
